South Geelong Primary school

South Geelong Primary School is Geelong’s most central state primary school situated within 1.5km of Geelong’s CBD.

This allows our students to take advantage of Geelong’s centrally located cultural centres such as the Geelong Art Gallery, the Woolstores Museum, the Geelong Botanical Gardens, and the Geelong Waterfront precinct.

We are also within easy walking distance of Geelong’s major sporting facilities such as Landy Field, Kardinia Park (including Skilled Stadium) and the newly upgraded Kardinia Olympic Pool.

PARKING

Approximately 60 car spaces are available in the streets immediately surrounding SGPS – School Street, Yarra Street, Mundy Street, & Kilgour Street.

BUS

There are a number of bus routes that travel along Moorabool Street departing from either the city or returning to the city from Waurn Ponds, Belmont, and Highton. In addition, there is an East Geelong service that travels along Yarra Street close to the school.

Train

South Geelong PS can be reached by train – South Geelong Station is approximately 100 metres from the front of the school. Trains depart from the Geelong Railway Station.
