Toohey Forest Environmental Education Centre (TFEEC) is a collaborative venture between Griffith University and Education Queensland. Toohey Forest Environmental Education Centre is based within the new state-of-the-art sustainably designed Griffith University EcoCentre. Our role is to develop and support environmental education through programs for students, teachers and schools. Most programs are based in, or close to, the surrounding open forest that is situated only 9 km from the Brisbane city centre. Approximately 640 ha in size Toohey Forest has several kilometres of easy-to-walk tracks (many that have wheelchair access) for students to explore and learn about the local flora, fauna and history.

Toohey Forest Environmental Education Centre caters for day visits for classes from Preschool to Year 12 including special schools.
