Willans Hill School

Willans Hill School caters for students with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities from Kindergarten through to the completion of Year 12. A Personalised Learning and Support plan is developed yearly in consultation with parents and carers. This plan incorporates individual priorities for each student as well as DET curriculum outcomes. All programs in our school are planned with the priority of providing every opportunity for active student engagement in an environment focused on learning. The school strives for excellence in its teaching and learning. It is a lighthouse school in Australia and the world in the area of literacy for all students. Teachers are skilled in developing programs which give all students access to quality teaching and learning in this vital area. These skills will ensure that Willans Hill students maximise their access to an independent life and work within the community.
