1 Review on “Sydney Girls High School”
Send your daughter here if you’re keen on her developing a complete lack of trust in all forms of authority, develop a completely unhealthy outlook on what defines self worth, becomes victim to systemic, insidious racism, internalise said racism, receive no support if one of her classmates passes away, have to fight tooth and nail to have bullying or harassment addressed, receive little to no support if making attempts on her own life, contend with consistent ableism, and have any sort of individuality crushed by a school system that cares more about appearing like a private school than allowing students any sort of self expression, be told that they are supported whether they are “gay or normal”, consistently have nightmares about her time in highschool at the age of 22, be taught by racist staff, some of whom have straight up physically assaulted students, etc. Not saying this is the case for every student, but nobody really comes out of here unscathed unless you’re a white girl who writes poetry. Shoutout Ms. Fiona McCrossin, one of the only teachers who was an absolute light in the darkness.
