The school has responded to this need by taking a holistic approach to our mission by being a welcoming community as well as a school dedicated to helping each child achieve their own potential.

Our school opened in February 2002 with an enrolment of 85 children. For the 2017 school year, our enrolment stands at 637 children. Good Shepherd Primary School primarily serves Catholic children living in Forde, Bonner, Amaroo, Jacka, Moncrieff and parts of  Gungahlin and Ngunnawal.

The school is the centre of an ever-growing community for young families, new homeowners and also for mobile families from the Australian Defence Forces and the Australian Federal Police.
