Today St Clare’s College is a flourishing educational and faith-filled community situated in the heart of the Eastern Suburbs. Central to our College life and learning are the values of our Catholic faith. These are nurtured by the Franciscan tradition and captured by our school motto “Deus meus et omnia” (My God in all things).
St Clare’s aims to work in partnership with parents and families to educate and prepare young women to be successful, independent and resilient for the world beyond school life. There are many aspects of St Clare’s that give me immense enjoyment in sharing with you. These include the girls’ love of learning, the pleasing results, the diversity of the school community, and the quality of our co-curricular areas that include music, sport, public speaking, debating, immersion experiences and community service. However, the most remarkable characteristic of our College is our young women who exercise their gifts, talents and education in making a positive contribution to the College and the wider communities, and in exhibiting endless amounts of school spirit, enthusiasm, collegiality and friendliness in the various College activities.
St Clare’s College Waverley is a special place for girls to learn and grow. It is supported by a vertical house system that provides guidance and mentoring as well as opportunities for student leadership. Though small, this environment, inspired by the Franciscan spirit, fosters a strong family atmosphere which cares for each student’s individual needs.
Our learning facilities endeavour to assist our young women to engage in all areas of the curriculum within an exciting and vibrant environment. Our aspiration is to prepare our students with the skills and knowledge to meet the ever-increasing challenges of further study, the workplace and global citizenship.
